the first snowfall (that I know of) in Iqaluit was this morning (Sept. 10) - i heard Iglulik had a blizzard in August (?). And Grise Fiord had a layer of snow on the ground already (perhaps it melted away soon after)

Hi. I am a student of Political Science at the University of Calgary and I have spent my semester working on an ongoing research paper regarding the active role played by Inuit women in the political landscape of northern Canada. Through my research I have learned about the NIYC and I just wanted to say that I think you folks are doing great work here and you should be very proud of yourselves for all your accomplishments, as well as your dreams.

How many lives do we have to lose? How much longer will we let addictions be a barrier to our prosperity? When will we stand up and take action?

For me, that time is now.

I'm a producer for the youth show Qaujisaut here in Iqaluit for IBC and I'm trying to get some inputs for 10/11 season. I'm trying to find out what Nunavut youth wants to watch. IBC is interested on any pitches from the youth or any suggestions from the youth.
